FBM over in NZ

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

FBM flow bro and all around chiller Lou Reeves started his world domination tour off with a 10 day tour of the south island of NZ arriving back yesterday to the flood soaked Melbourne life he loves so much. Lou is heading to the USA later this year and on the return looks like he will be spending alot more time over in NZ. Riding trails every day and eating Avocadoes in a hot tub is the life eh Lou? Sam Minell flowed us this pic of Lou airing out a tight ass bank in Christchurch before he departed on his trail riding adventures on the southend of the south island??

Some of the Helensvale BMX crew from the Gold Coast also made the trip back to their roots and got the job done on the wild looking trail setups our brethren over the tasman seem to have on lock right now. Peep a little of the action here! This photo of Jason Cousins does not have much to do with the above story apart from the fact that this picture is taken filling up on the freeway in Binghampton ,New York  the home of FBM a few years back.Amongst some of the crazier things i have experienced on the road over time on this trip that i was also on with Jason and Luke Mcblane was a crack riddled man in Rochester rapping to us for money, The best bank to rail setup i have ever ridden bar none that was in a truck stop where French-Canadian truck drivers clapped when Jason 180ed it. Jason taking a day out with a random girl and taking a hike on which he saw a woman kiilled by a landslide. Luke tuning the waitress at a diner in Minersville Pa like it owed him rent. To say the three of us had a good time on this trip was an understatement of the gods. Never stop the search!

Jason the OG badboy.

Broken Noses and being lifers...

Monday, October 26th, 2009

We are very proud to be associated with the  FBM Bike Company for so many reasons, BMX has exploded in popularity over the last few years again and there is so many BMX companies making products its hard to keep up. FBM has always prided themselves on making a small but functional range of products that cater to the needs of BMX riders from all walks of life. They made 8 pound frames(Angel of Death) in a time when frames were breaking left right and centre. They were making functional heavy duty sprockets when fat chains were the norm and riders were content to wear a hole in the frame from a motorbike chain rather than break the chain doing a sprocket disaster on a rail. They have sponsored some of the biggest names in the  sport like Aaron Ross , Cameron Wood and Tony Cardona and then lost the same riders to companies that had bigger payrolls. They have had there entire warehouse burnt to the ground and had to start again from scratch. They have had made video tapes( yes as in before dvds) that changed riders minds about there lives and BMX long before youtube beemed the latest tricks all around the world overnight. To put it bluntly FBM has changed the face of BMX forever, There constant love for BMX, travel and the good and bad times that come with it resonate with riders the whole world over. From the early days of AOD and Old Boy frames and Eyehategod songs in there vids to Modern Day Trail frames like the Steadfast and one of the most dialed looking complete bike ranges you are likely to see. FBM is in constant progression forward. Stowaway is proud to sponsor Peter Koh and Kie Ashworth with FBM in Australia and is proud to co sponsor Pat Oneil through Helensvale BMX on the Gold Coast. Kelvin Pentland through Backbone in Canberra and Lou Reeves through Anchor BMX in Melbourne.

FBM Pro and all round bad ass . Kie Ashworth sizey gap to icepick in Albany , New York. Kie was present on the FBM Wizards of Oz tour back in summer this year. You can peep his riding on the Wizards DVD that is out now all over the country. FBM is one company who is not letting the idea of having fun on your BMX fade. If you want to know what we got up to on that tour that has been all over the web of late do your self a favour and pick up this nice price double DVD from your local BMX shop today!

Wizards of Oz mania.......mang.
